Carafate Sucralfate is a gastric protective. It straightforwardly restrains pepsin, an enzyme that breaks apart proteins in the existence of stomach acid. Carafate Dosage and Administration
To treat active duodenal ulcer, an adult oral dosage of 1 g has been recommended four times per day on an empty stomach.
Antacids may be taken for relief of pain but should be avoided within one-half hour earlier than or after Sucralfate.
